Legal Advocacy

At Pickens County Advocacy Center, we understand that the legal process can be overwhelming and challenging. Our Agency has a Legal Advocate on staff who focus solely on your needs, helping you make the right decisions for you.

There is never a cost for our confidential legal advocacy services.

.

Our legal advocate can assist survivors of sexual violence by:
  • Providing information about the criminal justice process

  • Informing you of your rights as a victim

  • Accompanying you to all interviews and court appearances

  • Assisting with filing for protection orders

  • Assisting with victim impact statements

  • Connecting you to other services, such as referral to attorneys, emergency housing, counseling, parent education (when victims are children)

If you have any questions regarding legal services for cases that involve sexual violence, please get in touch with

Josh Holder at jholder@pcadvocacy.org

or call 864-442-5500.
