Services

We offer a number of services to assist members of our community with a variety of services.

We believe all women can embrace who they are,
can define their future, and can change the world.

Survivor Advocacy

A trained advocate is available 24 hours a day, 365 days/year to assist sexual violence survivors through our telephone hotline and hospital accompaniment services.

Pickens County Advocacy Center provides 24 hour anonymous hotline services.  You can reach a trained victim advocate by calling our office number 864.442.5500.  After regular business hours, your call will be transferred to our on-call victim advocate.  Survivors, friends, and family members may use this hotline to receive information regarding reporting options, PCAC services, and other community referrals.

Counseling

Our mission is to support survivors of sexual assault and abuse through treatment services and to end sexual violence in the Pickens County community through education, advocacy, and collaboration.

The Fourth R is a comprehensive school-based prevention program based on extensive research.  It applies best-practice approaches to building skills and reducing harm among adolescents.

School Based Education

The foundation is a skill-based curriculum that promotes healthy relationships and targets violence (bullying, peer and dating violence), high-risk sexual behavior and substance use among adolescents.

Community Outreach

We provide community outreach by speaking at career fairs, health fairs, classrooms, businesses, church groups, and other community organizations regarding our agency’s direct services with survivors of sexual violence.

Pickens County Advocacy Center provides Darkness To Light’s Stewards of Children training to adults in the community to recognize the signs of child sexual abuse and ways to prevent child sexual abuse in the community.

Community Education

We provide education and awareness programs in the Pickens County School District, Colleges & Universities and community organizations.  Our education and awareness programs can be tailored for time and content, depending on the needs of your organization.
