Prevention Services
It is important to understand and address the factors that put people at risk or protect them from violence. Sexual assault prevention involves understanding and addressing the risk and protective factors associated with this serious issue. Risk factors are characteristics or conditions that increase the likelihood of sexual violence or victimization, while protective factors are factors that reduce the likelihood of sexual assault occurring. By identifying and addressing these factors, individuals, families, and communities can work together to create a safer environment.
PCAC understands that risk and protective factors can vary across communities and cultures. Effective prevention efforts require a multifaceted approach that addresses these factors holistically.
This may involve education, community engagement, policy changes, and individual accountability to create a safer and more respectful society for everyone.
